Who wouldn’t want a nuclear sub during the Cold War? I sure did! The ads were prevalent in the 1960’s when I was a child. The sub came in a box filled with cardboard pieces to assemble. Check out the assembly below.
The Dickey Mouse was in this 1965 advertisement with other Yorktown Merchants.
The Dairy Queen was on Smith Street in downtown Yorktown. At this time there was no dine-in service. One just walked up and placed an order. The very first Dairy Queen opened in Illinois in 1940.
