Cemeteries of Yorktown/Mt. Pleasant Township
There are a number of small cemeteries located throughout the area, many associated with churches or burials on family land. Because an ancestor is not found in online resources, such as “FindaGrave.com”, does not mean that your family isn’t buried in this area. There are resources at the Delaware County Historical Society and Yorktown-Mt. Pleasant Historical Alliance of cemeteries and churches in the area. To add to or correct the list of cemeteries below, email Julie Musick Hillgrove at: JHillgrove@gmail.com. Put “Yorktown Historical Alliance” in the subject line. Indiana State Historic Architectural and Archaeological Research Database (SHAARD) has an extensive list of cemeteries in the state. There are 75 cemeteries listed in Delaware County.
